ABOUT ME
From the first moment of childhood that I learned acting was a job, I knew I was going to be an actor.
PBS kids inspired me from an early age; I watched a lot of it growing up which I believed fostered a deep love for play, community, and learning. I would frequently imagine myself in the various shows that I watched. I first took the stage in the fifth grade, when I played Lily St. Regis in Annie Jr.
I mostly grew up in the Greater Milwaukee area where I had the opportunity to see many shows at Skylight Music Theatre. Urinetown—which I shadowed for two rehearsals in high school—and Doubt were a couple of my favorite productions.
Beyond the theatre, I am a huge animal lover. There was a brief period as a kid when I thought I wanted to be a vet. Then I thought, “You have to tell people when their pets pass away? No thank you!” A lot of my hobbies are what my friends have lovingly dubbed “Grandma Activities” meaning I’m a big reader, I love to do jigsaw puzzles, and yes, I knit sweaters. My less grandma-y activities include playwriting, doing my hair, video games, and going to the gym.
Other random fun facts that I love to share are: I worked a blue collar job where I had to wear a hazmat suit, I got ordained online for some friends’ fake wedding, I frequently experience déjà vu, I can tell you what the fear of long words is, and I can say the alphabet backwards.
